As Ansible can be used to create or update elements of the IS infrastructure, it makes full sense to automate the communication with iTop CMDB. This works thanks to Ansible playbooks.
Ansible playbooks for iTop enriches Ansible playbooks to enable communication between Ansible and iTop.
Combined with the Data model for Ansible, it enables CMDB-related information, such as inventory files and alist of hosts, to be retrieved directly from iTop.
It also enables CIs to be created and modified on the fly in iTop.
This stand-alone set of playbooks works with any CI class. This version does not provide the ability to delete CIs.
